Always, Spyder love! The A-5 is what started me down this path. We've got a couple of those here, too!
My brother had a couple, those are a blast to shoot. The only thing is that Tippmann no longer makes pars for them, and is probably out of stock by now. I've taken my brother's to the factory for work, and the tech told me they have very few parts left. That was probably ten years ago.
My brother has had perhaps hundreds of guns. Mags cockers, tippys, I think he had an angel for a bit. Electros, mechs, pumps, (he always liked to bust out the p-mag on the field…) classics, etc. After he got tired of spraying paint he got into stock class and pump. One time he took about a half dozen pumps to the field and would have pump only games, a lot of people picked it up afterward, saying it was more fun.
Cockers are pretty cool, I haven't been around paintball for years, but when I was there was a hundred versions and thousands of parts. It was easy to build a buttery smooth and fast firing machine. The downside to a cocker is you have to know how to keep them in tune, which wasn't hard (for me, at least) I had one, an old original one, the serial number was 4 digits, had the springs on the hoses and all. I'm not sure what happened to it.
These are the last three guns I have. I should have more, but I left them with my brother to sell and I don't remember if he sold them or not.
The Mag on the left I bought on ebay, it was an old rental gun. The only thing original left is the rail and the body. It's got a Y-grip, RT valve, Dye stainless barrel, and I think the level-10 bolt. I can't remember anymore. If I was to get back into pb like I used to, I'd buy a nitrogen bottle that outputs 1200 psi or so so I could take better advantage of the RT valve.
In the middle is my Rainmaker. There was a guy who modified and anno'd them, I think this is one of his. (I can't remember his name) The vertical asa came off my Mag, the LPR I think is an early Rock, and came off a Cocker I bought, and the frame is Angel. The board has the Tlaloc chip in it. I've shot it in practice, but never used it on the field.
On the right is an Action Markers Sentinel turned Diadem. I bought it new, the Sentinel was an awesome gun, and I should have left it alone. The first time I used it was at EMR Castle Conquest, and I had issues. I missed a lot of the game because of it. It turned out that the main reg needed lubed, after that it worked fine. I should have left it a Senti, not that the Diadem sucks, but I prefer mechanical guns over electors.
