I guess paintball does not have build merit?

The name of this thread is "Anyone into paintball" and not "Look at the painball gun I made". That is why it has been moved to the off topic section.

EDIT: I have just read the thread (painball is not my thing, so I haven't read it till now), and it does have some build merit. It has been moved back

That Sniper is pretty sweet.
My marker of choice was an AutoMag, man that was a fun gun. I had several, as well as a MicroMag. I always wanted an AutoCocker to, seen some pretty crazy builds. These are all old and outdated as am I :(

But classy all the same. ;)

Autocockers have actually made a comeback. KEE, who now owns darn near everything, released a new 'cocker called the Resurection. Other than its quasi-plain looks, is out-the-box a world beater. All of the pneumatics have been modeled after the best designs. They've done right by the autococker lover. Plus, there are quite a few niche vendors and machinists making new bodies in all kinds of different designs.

Mags are another story. AGD still carries a ton of parts; but as you know, the level 10 parts still pull a premium; new or used. Thier bolt design lives on in Tiberius pistols and a couple Tippmann markers; but it's not the same. One of these days, I'll have me one; and it will be one of the very few that I won't touch.
As far as usage and feel, a lot of peolple are saying that the GOG eNMEy is an equivalent shooting marker, a mechanical spool design. I've never fired an actual mag, much less a high end one; but the eNmey (stupid name) is a great shooter. It's quiet, very efficient, very consistant (-/+2 fps out of the box!), and smooth feeling marker. Pull trigger, ball flies. I can't say that about a Tippmann 98 or an Autococker (but the cockers mechanics are worth the trouble).

Haha, true they are pretty classy.

I just checked out the resurrection, pretty nice and quiet to.

I miss my automag, I dropped quite a bit into that sucker, it shot straight and fast.
Those Tiberius pistols are pretty cool. Man I remember back then they came out with a pistol that was issued to law enforcement for practice runs. It was pretty sick. I wish I could remember what it was called, if I remember correctly it was roughly $400 back then.
I'm not too familiar with the others you had mentioned, its been some time since I have been involved.

Was that police pistol the SA-8 or something like that? Tiberius OEM'd a police issue version, higher fps for the pepper rounds. The company that was selling them liquidated, and flooded the market with police issue guns to civilians. They say that the SA-8 can be made to shoot within paintball ranges; but Tiberius was crying foul and that it is a no-no.

They are still around every now and then; but for the $75-80 they sell for, it's better in the long run to buy a used T-8.1 for $100-125 and have First Strike capabilities off the bat; plus, at that price, it will come with a couple magazines.

Always, Spyder love! The A-5 is what started me down this path. We've got a couple of those here, too! :p

My brother had a couple, those are a blast to shoot. The only thing is that Tippmann no longer makes pars for them, and is probably out of stock by now. I've taken my brother's to the factory for work, and the tech told me they have very few parts left. That was probably ten years ago.

My brother has had perhaps hundreds of guns. Mags cockers, tippys, I think he had an angel for a bit. Electros, mechs, pumps, (he always liked to bust out the p-mag on the field…) classics, etc. After he got tired of spraying paint he got into stock class and pump. One time he took about a half dozen pumps to the field and would have pump only games, a lot of people picked it up afterward, saying it was more fun.

Cockers are pretty cool, I haven't been around paintball for years, but when I was there was a hundred versions and thousands of parts. It was easy to build a buttery smooth and fast firing machine. The downside to a cocker is you have to know how to keep them in tune, which wasn't hard (for me, at least) I had one, an old original one, the serial number was 4 digits, had the springs on the hoses and all. I'm not sure what happened to it.

These are the last three guns I have. I should have more, but I left them with my brother to sell and I don't remember if he sold them or not.

The Mag on the left I bought on ebay, it was an old rental gun. The only thing original left is the rail and the body. It's got a Y-grip, RT valve, Dye stainless barrel, and I think the level-10 bolt. I can't remember anymore. If I was to get back into pb like I used to, I'd buy a nitrogen bottle that outputs 1200 psi or so so I could take better advantage of the RT valve.

In the middle is my Rainmaker. There was a guy who modified and anno'd them, I think this is one of his. (I can't remember his name) The vertical asa came off my Mag, the LPR I think is an early Rock, and came off a Cocker I bought, and the frame is Angel. The board has the Tlaloc chip in it. I've shot it in practice, but never used it on the field.

On the right is an Action Markers Sentinel turned Diadem. I bought it new, the Sentinel was an awesome gun, and I should have left it alone. The first time I used it was at EMR Castle Conquest, and I had issues. I missed a lot of the game because of it. It turned out that the main reg needed lubed, after that it worked fine. I should have left it a Senti, not that the Diadem sucks, but I prefer mechanical guns over electors.
