does anyone know what comet torque converter would replace the attached in the picture? I was debating taking off and cleaning vs. replacing with new. Any suggestions would be great. This Kart sat for over a year so just trying to get it tuned back up.

Take it off and clean and lube with dry graphite. It looks darn near perfect. GoKart Supply, BMI, MFG Supply, OMB Warehouse or any one of dozens of other parts places can get what you need.

Lots of videos on how to service a 30 series torque converter ( what you have ).
Use scotch bright or fine sandpaper to remove any rust. Clean with brake parts cleaner and lube with a dry product only, if at all. No oil of any kind. You'll need at least a decent pair of snap ring plires for the driven clutch. It doesn't look like there is anything wrong with your unit. Probably won't have to buy anything.

Thank you guys. I will send a picture once I remove everything to see if the belt looks okay to you. I am getting some slippage when I go to accelerate from a stop. Hopefully the cleaning fixes this issue.

what do you recommend for chain oil?

Hey Guys - I have attached a few pictures of my kart here. Specifically the governor arm. It seems like this engine is really held back from what it should be able to do. Doesn’t accelerate like it should and takes a while to get the speed up. It seems the engine may not be running at full capacity. Any ideas for the Kart? Maybe I am expecting too much out of this engine? Pictures attached.

If you aren't apposed to a new engine you'd be a lot happier with it rather than trying to get that one going properly.
