Didn't Lee Majors document his ARC rod fairly well in his Briggs overhaul thread?

It is quite an attractive piece, that rod.

ARC rod is pretty much the berries as far as I'm concerned. I only wish they offered an H beam with the oil scoop. That would be basically indestructible.

That funny. Not that you broke your truck, but that you said you were gonna fix it and go easy on it. Maybe if you pull a couple plug wires.

I broke the rear end in my truck.

Tell us, Flyinhillbilly, how did you break it?

I'm pretty sure that positive intake manifold pressure is to blame for my rear end woes. I'm thinking I'll see if I can find a 10.5" 14 bolt and just upgrade the whole axle while I'm at it.

Not that it would have helped......
But has anybody else tried to make a magnetic oil plug???
I tried but don't think the HF magnet I used was strong enough. And I was scared of it coming loose inside the Aluminum block.

Get some of those super strong neodymium magnets. They come in all shapes and sizes--get one small enough to fit on the outside end of the drain plug and presto.

Those things are so strong they'll magnetize the drain plug in no time.

Yes, I'm bored.
