You are not getting more power, just higher max RPM.
Engine wear will increase a bit, but if you maintain it and don't hold it at max RPM too long, it should still last a long time.
Even if you get a bigger engine, it will still be governed, so you will have a similar top speed, it'll just get there a lot faster.

New roller chain, new tc, spare kevlar belt. New carburetor is next but now it's time to take this thing up north to the trails.

One time before I shortened my chain, I was doing a pavement 180 and lost the chain.
I found the chain and the piece of the master link that had the pins, but neither of the pieces to hold it in.
So I put the master link pin piece back in a carefully drove it home, got one of my spare master links, and went back at it! Didn't do any more 180s 'till I shortened the chain, though.
Why'd ya get a new TC?

I needed new springs. The only way to have them in time was to order a new tc via Amazonl. Never hurts to have a spare anyway .

Ahh, so you got it for parts, in essence.
I see. In my perfect world I'd have multiple spares of just about every part, but alas, not so.

Yes. I love this buggy/kart and plan on many more. I may get a whole fleet of them. I'm a big kid at heart so this is perfect.

Get a welder and a grinder with lots of grinding wheels. I'm going to do a few home-made kart frames, maybe a mini bike or two. I keep getting engines given to me so I'll put them to use as I can. I've seen some fun stuff from scratch!

This thing is soo much nicer then my other yerf dog. Electric start, disc brakes, 10hp engine, more comfortable seats(I added 4 point harness). Only problem is a broken spindle on the first ride (d'oh). I'll weld it back or buy new depending on time.
