Actually I'm not afraid. I'm usually the guy that just says "screw it" n' do it. I just don't have the equiptment here. I'm here to work on the Camry, other house is for the rest.

Oh, I thought you hurt your eyes or welded yourself or somethin' like that.

Well your logic makes sense, didn't mean to rag on you there. Quick "word of wisdom": when welding or even heating something with a torch, keep a few CLEAN rags and LOTS of water handy, you never know when you could light something up. In fact a spray bottle full of water to cool down hot-spots would be a good idea.

I just cover everything in the area that I dont want melted with wet rags, works great.

Only thing I'd be worried about is that gear in the back of the bike. Doesn't look like a 35 or 41 pitch at all.

It isn't. I'm getting a #35 pitch sprocket soon along with the clutch. Not as easy getting all the parts over here in oz so cheapest way to go.

Looks fantastic. What kind of tubing are you using?

For the frame and forks im using 25mm by 1.6mm wall mild steel.

much needed update:

taping sprockets for jackshaft:

the jackshaft complete with bearings (the bolts only temporary till i can feel bothered to get some grub screws):

bike with wheel dropouts:

with handlebars and temporary seat and light:

Instead of using a jackshaft, just turn your rear wheel around.

howdy. this was for a school project which had to have an innovation. I'm passing the jackshaft off as an innovation. plus it allows for quick changes with gearing etc.

the parts were bought from various places. ebay for the engine, clutch, sprockets etc.. edcon for all the steel. hardware shops for most other stuff.

updates: the bike is now rideable minor slipping withh the jackshaft but a little grinding will fix that. few more things 2 fix up. then it can be prepped and painted. pictures soonish. i.e. when i get good ones.

peace

hi,

the bike is finished! took it out for its maiden ride last weekend, aside from a few small things i need 2 play around with it works fine.

Very muddy during testing so couldn't really try too many things. ill post a video later of me riding. It is at school for marking at the moment.

anyways less talking more pictures.
