Had to spend half a day making a bending jig but I'd say it worked out ok.

Wondering IF I should install a full tube bumper around body? Or is that just gonna make something that is too wide even more hard to fit on trailer? Also anyone know how acidic windshield chalking is? will it melt the abs plastic? Wondering if close iron would help flatten out some rough areas? Still lots to do before I can even get back to mechanicals. Still playing with depth setting on bending jig, sometimes it doesn't bend perfectly in the middle, and flat abs is expensive.

Should have rejoining complete today, I can hit it with a framers hammer VERY hard and no cracks, so it should be way stronger then it ever was. And I save 1.5 inches on the width. Then I have to flip it over and do the inside.

That sounds all well and good...but REALLY....how hard can a Canadian swing a framing hammer anyway????:lolgoku:

(You knew I'd have to get around to this sooner or later buddy! )

Good to have you back...I mean, I got a Californian to pick on...but that's just too easy!

Picked up a full tank of Argon for free, gonna see if I can weld those roof supports. Switches found at second hand store and lights out of the garbage I've been hanging on too for too long. Ran out of propane for heater and only have enough cords and clamps to do 2 pieces at once, so gonna take me a few days to get all the trim on.

Propane for the heater? What's that? We call' em grills around here....Seriously, I always have a bunch of projects that I figure I'll do in the winter when the weather is bad....

This year...I swear I don't think we had but a couple of days below freezing, no icy roads...(we did have snow two days) you could see it on the cars until about lunchtime...when it was all gone...

We had 80°f days in January and February! !!! Oh well...I can always duck indoors and do these projects when it's 110° f in the shade!

So bloody close to laying paint, BUT can't rush it even if I just want it done and over. Figure about another week of patching and sanding.

Decided to replace a 3 foot section where the tire rubbed the body too thin to fix so that should take me a couple days, digital battery is dead so no pics till it charges.
