Hopefully Everything is good to go.

Coming Next...

Gravity Fed Carb Road Test Number 1.

0.026" Low
(2 turns out on fuel screw)
0.042" Main
No Muffler
No Prefilter

---------- Post added at 02:43 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:41 PM ----------

Still only one side of the caliper is cooperating.
But I am confident that I will be able to turn the kart into something less painful (like a bush instead of a car), if I need to, now that the steering is OK.

---------- Post added at 02:46 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:43 PM ----------

If everything seems to run ok, I will put a new plug in and try to get a plug reading.

So I need to remember to kill it at WOT up hill from my house.

Remember to point karts at trees after making changes to the throttle linkage and pedals.

I must have set the linkage and tightened the engine to the mount when it was up on stands. When I started the engine on stands, the wheels were barely moving. When I lowered the back onto the ground, the weight of the (along with the suspension and my linkage) pulled the throttle halfway open.

Gravity Fed Carb Test Number 1.2

Hey Bob....why don't you invent a new cocktail: the FreeRunner?

One quart of vodka, a pint of nitromethane, and a half gallon of Bull S. served in a bucket of bolts?

You just invented it, no inventing needed on my part.

---------- Post added at 03:14 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:09 PM ----------

I'll make the Free Runner on special tonight.

0.5 oz Vodka
0.5 oz Rum
0.5 oz Tequila
0.5 oz Gin
0.5 oz Triple Sec
0.5 oz Blue Curacao
2.5 oz Red Bull
3 cherries
1 orange slice

$8.50

How about the GAB? A jigger of everything in the bar in a dribble glass?

Or the Poboy: last night's half empty beers in a paper cup.

The Chancer: Fruit cocktail in a champagne glass and rum with a twist?

The Gladiator: 8 oz. of isopropal alcohol with 3 cinnamon sticks.

It was funny as heck watching my buggy try to knock down that tree while digging holes in my yard.

After 1 FreeRunner, the Dribble glass is not needed. People manage to dribble on their own. They also begin communicating in a language I can only describe as "SLUR-SIVE"

Where should I point the camera?

Front or Back?

Makes me wish I got into the adult film industry.

Guessing 6500 RPM and 45 mph.

Some people use brakes to help turn.

I use turns to help brake.

---------- Post added at 04:29 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:02 PM ----------

1. Now it is just the chain (I think I still have enough links for a whole new one probably need a new master link from HomeDepot or Lowes)

2. The Brakes (leaning towards replacing with the same system, but new OR buying that $100 ATV and try to salvage those brakes. Or Maybe a mechanical caliper will be easiest?)
I can try to mess around with this brake system, but I'm so sick of it. I will probably keep it and rebuild for a back up or for a future project.

3. And Fine Tuning the Carb Jetting.

The first two are needed for the last one.

THEN WE CAN LOCK THIS THREAD. THROW AWAY THE KEY. BURY IT, BUILD A HOUSE ON IT. AND THEN BURN IT TO THE GROUND.

You will know I am finished because I will post a video of me doing donuts while holding an American Flag and listening to the Hulk Hogan theme song with a Bald Eagle on my shoulder.

I'm so excited. Can't wait to get the gauges hooked back up.
The mid range is great.
I'll bet if you give me a mile, I'll give you 7000 RPM and darn near 50 mph
With 16" tires, 7.5:1, and a 30 series

After visiting 4 stores, I called Ace and said I need a number 41 roller chain connecting link. Not a number 35. Not a number 40. Not an offset link. Not a roller link. A number 41 connecting link! It looks like a bicycle chain.

She asked me what am I using it for ?????? WTF???

I almost hung up the phone right then.

I didn't. And I overpaid ($2.20 each) for all 4 that they had.

Advice: Don't call your local hardware store. Just go down there and look. Odds are the people answering the phone don't know what they have anyway.
My first job was in a "Mom and Pop" hardware store, best working experience ever. Learning how things work, what tools can do, browsing the ordering catalog at lunch. But i didn't want to answer the phone, because the callers were usually either unable to describe what they needed, or wanted something ridiculous.

I have a hydraulic brake setup I made myself. Clutch master cylinder and reservoir from Honda Accord 12.99 disc caliper and pads 10.00 at swap meet.

Took three feet of hard line with the clutch master and just need to make a line from it to the caliper and make a bracket for master to pedal.

Should work really well on wife's buggy. Cheaper options out there just sayin.

I really want front brakes too.

How do I put brake rotors on my front wheels.
Do I attach the caliper to The Spindle?
