So this was given to me.

Pulling the rope it has good compression. That's as far as I got so far.

What should I expect out of this?
What is it?

A variant or copy of a Go-Ped scooter. Most of them have no seats, you just ride them standing up.

Running and cleaned up I would expect 25 mph or $150-$300. Does it have a brand? What's written on the riding platform?

I'll have to look hard, the sticker is faded. I could vaguely make out what looked to be an 800 number.

The plan was to put it in the race trailer for a potty bike.
Cause the pits are always so far from the facilities.

I had one that was given to me in similar condition.

It had a weedeater engine basically and I had to replace the primer bulb and fuel lines with weedeater parts. I also put in a new tube and rear tire.

The lights and everything were trashed and didn't work.

I rode it a couple times and it was dangerous. On tiny wheels with such a high center of gravity, it was hard to ride on any surface, and I wrecked it in my gravel drive way right away. I sold it for $40 on craigslist in running condition.

Still have a scar on my knee from crashing it and I was wearing jeans when it happened. Owned it for a total of 2-3 months when I was 13.

Mine was labeled something like "Boreem" and "JIA" was somewhere also. It had "sweet" flame decals though.

I gave it another 60 seconds of my time.
Here's the floor sticker.
And it looks like it has an electric starter. Im guessing this is the battery box?

I might see if the engine runs. If it does I'll strip all the unnecessary crap off of it.

Looks like my trike engine. Leaf blower or weedeater 2stroke. Mine was 49cc. If geared right yah probably 27mph. I get 15 but way bad gearing ratio. Super loud.

Like someone told me. Drive it in the mornings when the gardeners are using the leaf blowers

I'm surprised these things don't have a following here. They look like a lot of fun.

Sorry you had such rotten luck on yours Bwdeaton. They require a certain finesse, but Mr. Safety® is proud of you. :D

Skip to about 3:15 to see some running, surprisingly with the ambient sounds intact despite the overly loud and obnoxious hip hop "music".

P.S., I retract any idea I propagated that suggested these are popular with anyone but hipster douchebags.

...I fear I'd hit a little rock or something.

And... run right over it with no issues? :p These do have pneumatic tires you know.

Perhaps I'll take the tail lights off and fit in some weed burner nozzles.
Give it that old school Batmobile afterburner.

Or add some '59 Caddy style rear taillights. Jet plumes...
