First thing I would say is to have someone check for codes, but that would be somewhat difficult with a pre-OBDII car.

he would have to take it into a shop to do that inless he had the comp to do it which are expensive i would be surprised. I would check smaller stuff before you check for codes if you dont have the tools to check the code. if you cant find the prob than check for the codes.

I was too busy watching the ant crawl across the screen at 46 seconds... :arf:

Is your EGR valve dirty? If it's leaking at all, it will cause a vaccuum leak that could cause that. Carb cleaner and a screwdriver is all it takes to clean the pintle valve portion of the EGR.

88hp, what a beast. only 18hp less than my 87' yota...lol

Yeah, how'd they get such a small amount of horse power out of an engine? :roflol: How many litres is it? My 1985 Peugeot 505 makes about 140HP with a 2.2 litre 4 cylinder!

Odd shaped go kart, I think it's a bit heavy. "A door? What on earth could you possibly want a door for?"

Is it to be a paddock basher or are you going to get it on the road?

Thanks

Hayden

i agree with 460 big block. here is a pic of a 460 going into a mustang so you know its possible.

well actually the engine is running quite nicely, she needs a new set of plugs. the fuel seems to be loading up at idle. but going down the road she's seamless. the egr valve may be the problem
