You can go pretty fast with a 'banger (2.3 I assume), you just have to think a little more and be more creative than just dropping in a 302. A lightly built or turbo'd 2.3 will kill a stock 302 anyday. The 'banger has a pretty big weight advantage over a big heavy V8 aswell.

There is some pretty bad stock 302 out there. If it was me I would much rather have a stock over a turbo 2.3. You right about the work to put it in though.

I cannot see a 2.3 killing a stock BOSS 302. And killing it at that.

wat els is wrong with the car, i have found out a clean air filter helps out alot more than you would think. good clean exhaust of course, new spark plugs gapped right, little stuff like that will do alot. a good carb helps a ton on throttle response a 500cfm is perfect no need for more for an engine that small.

yeah im definitely putting a muffler on, but it sounds WAAAAAY better in person, and other than the idle problem when you first start it, there isnt anything wrong with it.
