you might check out my thread on the carb matter HERE my conclusion is that I'll need to buy a new carb but when I'll need a new engine for a project, a $40 carb wont seem too steep

OK. so retest was today. we are getting closer. running a little better . before I could barely keep it running no matter what I did. now it stays running but is a high idle or it stalls. when its high idle it just keeps running then all the sudden it will try to stall and I can tap the throttle and keep it running here's 2 videos

here is my thought and its purely a guess. it back fired once or twice I would think its getting to much fuel. it runs at high idle when its getting to much then when it tries to stall its because the idle is to low and it needs to be higher but I cant adjust it high cause as soon as I try to it starts high idling again. im probably wrong but who knows. im good with fuel injection but carbs total screw with me.

Thought about just putting a carb on it my problem is there is no engine tag for the engine so im not sure which one I would even need.

ok so after some futher attemps to get this thing to idle I am still stuck. I think I am just gonna order a carb for it. anyone know a way to figure out this engine model number if the engine tag is missing?

Id just buy a new 212 or other wise clone. Easier than dicking around with them tec carbs. Alot of guys here(and elsewhere) have hit and miss luck with them engines. Usually end up getting a clone.

Yea I know. I just can't spend 120 on a clone right now but I can spend around 40. would be really nice to just drop an new engine and call it a day.

Then Id say wait till you can. most of the time those motors are on sale $100 or less w/coupon, or Craigslist.

Friendly update.
finally got some more time to look at the kart the beginning of this month. Found it was defiantly the carb. Found a new one online for 25 bucks. Threw it on today and she's good as new. Runs great. Thanks for all the tips and help.
