Buy it and report back. "Xtreme Power", huh? Sounds good for 70 MPH, no doubt.

Something isn't right.

1.) The e-store is poorly set up and deals mostly in rugs of all things, not power equipment.
2.) The engine can not be found by browsing their products nor searching for the name or model#.
3.) That is less than half of the common price for that engine.
4.) Shipping is only $5.

I bet your order would go incomplete for a while and then get cancelled.

This is why you do online purchases with a credit card that you can freeze, cancel, or fight the charge incase something like that(which is likely) happens.

DO IT!

It doesn't matter if you don't need an engine now... Think of it as a 'rainy day engine'.

Just keep this little beauty on your mind at all times ↓↓↓↓

it's not a knock off of a knock off btw..
that's a Lifan (170F).. cloning engines since what? 1970s??

Lifan true clones (168F) are amongst the most reliable clones out there.
Hence every noname true clone comes with the lifan designation (168F) in some variation.

65 freedom units is in fact something worth trying.
Visa and AmEx both have prepaid cards for "special occasions"
see if you can get such from your bank free of charge..
place your 70 dollar bet on it (that is likely going to cost you a buck)
and go for it!

Well AFTER you contacted the seller and verified
it's a real offer and not a relict from a previous shop or test item or something.

you can also ask if they accept paypal transactions... some in fact do behind the scenes
(just be aware not to use "friend transactions" since those are not refundable)
and if no engine shows up.... have paypal refund the monetary units back to you.

same enigne on ebay 125.. and 170 at walmart...

*shrugs*

'sid

PS I'm dialing in towards to good to be true, but I think it's a shop relict not a fraud attempt.

I don't know if anyone took 3 seconds to google "zodbuy com reviews", well don't buy the motor. It is a scam. It's just pages and pages of "don't buy from here".

Most of the scam alerts are from the just last month and I found some from the last couple days. They're probably stealing credit card info.

Like I said, something isn't right.

Well there have been ridiculously low priced Predators and other clone engines on cyberspace before, and people have scored on them, so this "deal" you found wasn't totally out of the ordinary.

Keep hitting on all the 'electronic classifieds' you can. Briggs engines (plus other types) are plentiful out there if you know how to look.

Expand your search to include Roto tillers/garden tillers as those can be a source for cheap engines. I passed on someone selling 3 Briggs flatheads for $90. Should've taken the bait. Ah well.

Well, I saw this and got curious. Added to my cart, went to checkout, and they actually have a PayPal option.

Now, is it safe to use PayPal or are they some going to get my info when I sign in? It is the official PayPal website that usually pulls up, but still wary.

I noticed on the bottom of the page is says "Cancel and return to Huang Chao"...that looks like a Chinese name, which could be a scam.

PayPal will cover you, but is it worth the risk?

If Paypal covers you, where's the risk?

Could be a fake Paypal link and will 'Phish' you for your info. Check the URL before you type in anything. Shoot, I should be doing this myself just for giggles.

IIRC, I got my 420cc for $185 free shipping. Nobody heard of Powerland at that time.
You can still find good deals from Powerland Auctions from time to time. I guess the difference is that their main business is generators, pressure washers, and that type of stuff.
