6.5horse rpm

i have a 6.5horse champion motor (the one from costco) and i want to know what rpm i should see on it
I am using a 10 tooth clutch what size axle sprocket should i use for all around use of 15" tires

The engine is set for 3600 RPM.

3600 RPM is max RPM. Dont worry the idle RPM will be lower than your clutch engagement. But I would say it idles areound 800-1000. For some reason my clone idles pretty high.

That's with a governer.. You should be able to crank 4.5k safely* from it without a governer.

Depending on your kart weight and riding style, I'd gear it with a 45- 48 tooth rear sprocket. I'm running 16" wheels and a 45tooth on my trike, and it has plenty of "go" with a governed top speed of 38mph. Faster than it sounds.
