The first thing we did was remove all the 'lawyer labels" - the yellow kinda reminds me of the old Yamaha colors.

Haha, mine's all scratched up right now

All those stickers I put on there were eventually covered up by the gas tank

What about the EXTRUDED fuel lines? And that CAST carb body? The header isnt billet and i doubt the gaskets are.

I ment all the internal parts. And my new 42 mm mikuni carb does have billet parts on it.

started today

Fired up the Champion build today - Started on the second pull.
Now the question - the engine wanted to run wide open or nothing (we had the pulse fitting pluged) - Do the GX390 carbs need rejetting? I was going to call the Afordable Gokarts people too but I figured I would pick the brains of this vast data base first

Most likely. That's why I don't have a GX390 carburetor set on mine right now. It doesn't run at idle, at all.

Well as your motor sits in the picture your carb is wide open.

idling issues

We will make it run!! First I need to tie it down so its not bouncing around - second we didnt have the air filter attached. An exhaust header wouldnt hurt either. Minor things !!!!!
