Well this may interest some of you but im gona be documenting my tear down and rebuild of my briggs.... its a twin cylinder opposed 46 ci full pressure lubed its a beast hahaha.. Im building this for lawn mower racing so i do have a set of rules to go by.
1. engine must be origionaly manufactured for use in lawn mowing equipment. Must be stock in appearance with the exception of irfilter air cleaner or velocity stack. engine may be internaly modified.

2.exhaust design is open but must terminate away from the driver and competitors in a rearward or downward facing direction and must not present any safety hazard.

and thats basicaly all there is for rules.

so anyhoo now for the good parts pictures hahaha
First picture is the engine before i started riping it down hahah

The rest are durring the tear down... and the last two are sort of a problem.. hey one cylinder is all black and the other is clean... but hey its only been about a hour running them sence the last build... hmmmm something aint right...

well anyhoo i got a few plans for this motor... i already did tear it down before and what not and do a few mods... well now im goin full bore build up cause i was to lazy to do it before...

heres a list of stuff im doing/ have done...
crap i already did
1. Remove gov.
2. Port and polish($hitty job)
3. smooth heads up.
4. some carb mods( ill list them below)
and thats about it.
Carb mods
1. remove choke
2. polish venturi
3. knife edge throtal plate

But for stuff im going to do now
1. Shave eyebrows
2. polish eyebrows
3. polish and smooth heads ALOT more.
4. 3 angle valve job.
5. Better port and polish job.
6. 2 to 1 header.
7. Grind base circle of cam down then extend lifters.(poor mans high lift cam)
8. Drill out oil passages.

Anyone have any other ideas of mods i should do?
i would dual carb it but i dont think i would be allowed to.

there the specs.
Piston One
Skirt= 3.433
A measurment= 3.407
B measurment= 3.407
Wrist pin= 0.800
Wrist pin journal on piston= 0.821
Wrist pin journal on rod= 0.800**
Connecting rod crank journal bearing= 1.625

** I dont know how its that but he measured it 3 times and got that the hole time and i trust that his measurements are dead on hes good at what he does.

Piston two
Skirt= 3.434
A measurment= 3.406
B measurment= 3.407
Wrist pin= 0.800
Wrist pin journal on piston= 0.821
Wrist pin journal on rod= 0.800**

I still need to get the bearings on the cam measured and all that good stuff and the block and what not but it should be good.
