410-6 tires

A 410-6 tire will work on a 6” wheel (technically 5 1/4” diameter) right?

Tire is 3”wide

Wheel is 4.5” inner bead

So I may have misread, the diameter is 6” and the width is 5 1/4. So it looks like they’ll fit. Below is from the site for the wheels and tires.

So new tires/rims/tubes came in. Watched like ten videos, used dish soap and water, screw drivers, one kid, one adult, air, no air, and cannot get the second side of the tire over the rim. Whats the trick?

I ended up taking mine to the local tire shop, nothing I tried worked and just wore me out. Those are the most difficult ones according to the guy at the tire shop.

If it has a tube put more air. Just be careful

You've gotta pull the bead in far enough it's in the recessed area of the wheel (near the center) to give you enough room to work it around the rim. If you've got air in your tube, it will make it harder.

As for getting it to seat, that's when you use air.

Some one piece rims have one lip that's narrower than the other side to ease tire installation, so you might check that. Might only apply to race kart rims, though.

On a side note, is it possible to extend the spindles about two inches?

Really depends on how they're built, but typically, yes, all you need to do is buy a pair of bolts the correct diameter and length (fine thread is ideal), cut the old spindle off, and weld the new one on. No good way to do it without welding though.
