40 Series Pulley Alignment Question

Hey everyone I got a new 40 Series Torque Converter from GoPowerSports. I just wanted to know if it is aligned the right way. Wasn’t given instructions for it and I’ve seen a lot of different takes online unsure of which is correct. Thank you?

Cant tell for sure but it looks a little crooked. Maybe remove a washer from the driver but again, I cant tell perfectly. Looks a little out of alignment to me.

Since it is a 40 series, NOPE!!!! The driven clutch the spring should face inboard or the drive clutch should be turned around.

Sorry denny your incorrect.

In that pic CCC, if direction of travel is up, then the orientation is correct. The rubber buttons must be on the trailing side of the wedge in the direction of rotation.
A 40 series is symmetrical, so it can be run either way, but you have to change springs to wind it the other way.

I know about the spring, but I’ll just stick with what the guys who designed it recommend. The belt still needs to line up in use.

I saw your video, thank you again for the link. The power is traveling towards the top of the photo. I do have a video of it running at idle and full throttle, and the pulleys are adjusting the ratios as usual it seems. I was just looking if belt wear/belt breaking was likely with the setup I have now. If I am able to upload videos here I’d be happy to upload! Thank you.

Just align your inboard sides and your good.

I just noticed yesterday that my 40 series belts have a "this side engine" label with the arrows... Its a comet.
