currently the gas tank and air filter housing are drying with the same color paint doesn't it look better? now i need oil and carb cleaner and she'll be running like a pro! also i need a new exhaust system

nice need hold the can a lil farther back but looks good. get a new exhaust lots of power there but be a lot louder.

ok about cleaning the carburetor... i only see one way to enter it and that's through the side panel. i just got the carb cleaner. what is the most effective way of cleaning it with carb cleaner? here are some pictures. someone tell me what to do.

Just blow cleaner though every hole you can find.

then should i blow it out with an air compresser after i spray the carb cleaner in the carb?

ok this is the exhaust. i don't see any mounting holes for the new header i want to buy. are the mounting holes behind the spike circular thing?

Mounting holes you need are not on this engine.
Takes a 1/2 inch pipe thread.

dang it is there any way i can mount a exhaust system without welding or cutting?
are you sure that there is not holes behind that spike wheel?

Buy some 1/2 threaded pipe and screw it in. A foot or so will be fine.

I think I see holes under the lock nut. A foot of pipe screwed in there works GREAT so long as you like what a John-Davidson sounds like.

oh and also it's really rusted what happens if i can't get the muffler off how can i get it off easily?

the type and other stuff like that can't be read due to the rust and i painted over it. i couldn't even read it before i painted it. i only can supply the model number

Loosen locknut first. Sometimes they simply unscrew easily by hand.
If not, use a pipe wrench.

Get some Kroil or PB blaster, that and a strap wrench will pop it right off.
