Its a good thing. I've been stripping down engines and pretty much anything with a engine on it since I was 8.

I was kidding. That is around the age that I started working in the shop, helping build v8 s10's. I guess I did it kinda backward, I went from large engines to small. Ever started a big block Chevy (or even an sbc) on the ground? That was exciting for me as a young kid.

lol I have never seen a engine being started on a floor. Just on a dyno. That engine sounds pretty nasty. Keep tuning it though so it idles.

That's how we test them before they get dropped into something. They do this at junkyards too. It'll idle, it's just that the gas can that we rigged up was out of fuel, so it died. It will soon be dropped into the truck in the background, a '55 chevy stepside converted to a 4x4 with 44" tires. :cheers2:

Hahahaha :D

I love the fact that 2x the battery power = 4x the motor power output. Fun :D

I used to have a 110VDC motor I took out of a Weed Whacker back when I was like 10. Really cool motor because it had permanent magnets and it was FAST. Don't know what ever happened to it. I think parents may have thrown it away. :( I have never seen another one like it. I don't even remember what brand I took it out of.

HAHA yeah. I normally get a 3-6 volt motor and run around 28-30 or more volts of DC power threw it and see how long they last. Its MUCH MUCH more interesting to see the motors with the metel brush holder thingy brecause they dont melt as quick. and they rev soooo high then start to squeeel so bad. I have like a electric motor dyno in my room built so I can load them up and mak em smoke more

I have a 3V motor that squeals with a 1.2V battery :roflol:

No load either. She needs some lubrication :p
