After not doing any work on my kart for ages (almost a year, old build pics here), I loaded it up in my truck and hauled it to school, so I can work on it in shop. Really down to mounting a motor and drivetrain, and going over welds from when I sucked at welding. Then some extra bracing, some clean up, and paint. Possibly some panels on the front end in the future as well.
A big change is in the power department. I finally pulled my head out of my ***, and realized that the modded Briggs just wouldn't cut it for this kart, and it was going to be a pain to get working properly. So I got something on ebay. :devil2:
I'll leave you with a chitty blurry cell phone pic, and let you try and figure the rest out.

I kind of feel bad... I had to cut a chunk out of the main rear rail and crossmember. It needs to be redesigned so I can have the jackshaft aligned properly with the swinger pivot, and still be able to route the chain to it from the motor. Also got some angle and square tube from the metal stash at school to start designing a motor mount.

The motor is a from a Honda TRX250r.

Do you guys think I need to mount using the tab on the cylinder head as well? The motor has 2 mounts in back, one in front and one underneath which I plan to use. Will anything be affected by not using the head mount also?
