Valve spring keepers are bad. Harbor freight don't sell them. Can't seem to locate anything Upc193175490544. Non hemi, thanks.

I’m with him I want to see the photos. Bad denotes inferior quality or malformed. Maybe it was pure Chinesium and crumbled into pieces.

Valve keeper failures usually mean springs flying loose in the valve covers and valves falling into the cylinder. That is a catastrophic failure. We require pictures.

Maybe, but I thought those were on the old flatheads. I think the 224 has tapered split keepers and a machined retainer.

I could be wrong but Im pretty sure the generators have the 224 with slip ons.

Most clone 196s have slip ons also.

I wonder what kind of mileage he gets from a GENERATOR. Hmmmm.
I assume dual fuel means gas/propane. That would be fun on a kart, but....

I still want to know how and why his valve keepers failed.
