Prices vary greatly so I tried to get the lowest and highest but excluded the ultra-cheap ebay parts.

Upgraded parts breakdown:

Block- $110-$200 https://www.arcracing.com/138210126...MIh_C5tPjwlAMVNCaHAx0W4QulEAQYBSABEgILJfD_BwE

Rod- $80-$100 https://www.ombwarehouse.com/billet...MIvaKYyvnwlAMVUzqHAx2O3yJ8EAQYBiABEgLoL_D_BwE

3 port side cover- $25 https://www.eccarburetors.com/ghost-212-wildcat-240-cast-crankcase-side-cover

Crank- $100-$120

Cam- $60-$100 https://www.ombwarehouse.com/cm-gri...MI5pfwsvvwlAMVgpHCCB2hCiazEAQYBCABEgL82vD_BwE

Valve springs- $10-$20 https://www.ombwarehouse.com/honda-...M_0CKnkBm1kq6Un8J8vkv0WlMytEo-iS73XxSU7eOmGXg

Intake manifold w/ pulse fitting- $15-$30 https://www.ombwarehouse.com/intake...n8Gum0RLgDZvX_XydlCeGU5ldF_B3AFJVcBnHUw-xDKpk

Coil- $20-$30 https://www.ombwarehouse.com/bsp-cl...zGn243bVThUfvV86RFa6smBo03aFYyfI2LnmiWOhAYQlo

Carb- $80-$100 https://www.ombwarehouse.com/mikuni...MIDL705qqsgg_IjALP_UC-Yibg8gEbxDTDyUxmaGDBXPI

Head gasket- $15 https://www.ombwarehouse.com/_040-f...MI-Yioh_7wlAMVqIPCCB2rAROWEAQYAyABEgLv_vD_BwE

Rings- $15 https://www.arcracing.com/dj-1290ph...xUIElFE3JGcJQFBXNcdF4_4wTf0x34r8tNpx4Ft7UCXPc

Exhaust valve- $20 https://www.bmikarts.com/Stainless-...Tr1CnhzqWoK0O1Z90CKLDR04lppFxz6VivMPBe9o40c6Q

So it looks like a low end of $550 just to get the upgraded parts. You still wouldnt have a full engine. I understand there are other (probably better) paths you can take but it seems like a great deal for someone who doesnt want to tear into an engine.

EDITED to add side cover.

I didn't think so, but that side cover link says not compatible with the no Hemi 212. Hmmmm........
Ohh I get what you were saying. My mistake.

AI says:

The main difference between the side covers (crankcase covers) of the Hemi and non-Hemi Predator 212 is the camshaft journal size and the side dowel pins. Because of these internal differences, the side covers are not interchangeable between the two engine versions. [1]
The key differences to keep in mind include:
  • Camshaft Journal Hole: The Hemi engine's side cover has a smaller camshaft journal hole. A non-Hemi camshaft will not fit into a Hemi side cover. [1]
  • Side Dowel Pins: The dowel pins that align the side cover to the engine block are larger on the non-Hemi version than on the Hemi. [1]
  • Compatibility: The Hemi side cover shares the same internal dimensions as Honda clones and engines like the Ducar or Tillotson, whereas the non-Hemi side cover is unique to its own engine block. [1, 2]
