Prices vary greatly so I tried to get the lowest and highest but excluded the ultra-cheap ebay parts.
Upgraded parts breakdown:
Block- $70-$100
Rod- $80-$100
3 port side cover- $60 (Cant find the exact on so I chose the cheapest I could find- custom deal that someone sells on ebay)
Crank- $100-$120
Cam- $60-$100
Valve springs- $10-$20
Intake manifold w/ pulse fitting- $15-$30
Coil- $20-$30
Carb- $80-$100
Head gasket- $15
Rings- $15
Exhaust valve- $20
So it looks like a low end of $545 just to get the upgraded parts. You still wouldnt have a full engine. I understand there are other (probably better) paths you can take but it seems like a great deal for someone who doesnt want to tear into an engine.
