Ok here is my 2021 build off log. Im completely scraping this coleman, the frame has been shot to crap (it has snapped/ cracked in 8 different places). So I am scrapping the seat, engine, and tires. I am going to make a new HD frame out of all the steel tubing, flat steel, barstock, and square stock. I the new frame will look like the sketch I attatched to this post. It will have full suspension. I am also going to put a .308 cam in this engine. I have some larger shocks for the rear in the mail right now and I will also have to get some parts for the 40 series as it is broken. Im going to have a lot of machining done to the frame components (swing arm, front fork) Everything is going to be very thick steel tubing and the swing arm is going to be made out of solid 1in bar stock. The engine will be mounted dirtbike style with welded tabs securing it. I might tig weld some cooling fins onto the engine block aswell. Also, im tired of the dinky steering column screw shearing in half so im going to use a 1in grade 8 bolt with 1in id 2in od bearings

Talked to the machinist today he said its about 10 hours worth of work and hes chargin me $60/hr... plus Ill need about $400 in some engine parts and a tube notcher. Will have to wait until I have some disposable income lol. But until then im going to add some big cooling fins to the engine with my new TIG welder, stay tuned!

Just picked up this badboy yesterday. Brand new everlast pro tig 255ext with an air-cooled and water-cooled torch, also came with a pedal, cart, and a full big tank of argon. I traded it for my old '92 XR600R with only 1 hour on the top end! These are my first ever tig welds on steel and aluminum, they look like crap but not bad for first ever welds! This welder has a fancy inverter, much lighter than my old transformer mig 180! Hopefully by winter ill be able to lay a nice tig bead lol! I can't wait!

And yes, I got a trailer.

how hard do you have to ride a coleman to break the frame i wanna know because im doing a coleman fat tire trike build, which reminds me i probably should start a build thread... im using a coleman ct200u-ex frame that was completely ruined by some rednecks then sold to me which i fixed and sold to a redneck who finished it off after i had it perfect. so its getting a go kart axle and 9hp pump engine

so $600 later I have all of the machined parts... will weld them up and post pictures. I rode that coleman not to hard just over some small jumps maybe 2 feet but mostly just going over rocks and bumpy terrain in the desert has appeared to toast the frame. I still have the frame, only to give me a sense of how big I need to build my new frame lol. After I finish up that old frame is going in the trash, its cracked in at least 10 spots no joke.
