Motors are mounted, and caliper brace is in place. Front is done, just needs longer turnbuckles for the steering. Managed one shock tower brace and one to go. Motors run, so its getting close. Hope all had a good Thanksgiving

Lol, yea. I guess you have a point. A single seat version with two motors.

Got most of the major fab done. Axle was stripped so I can position the brake caliper mount set on the middle cross beam. Steering bar was extended and the turnbuckles were extended for the wider front end. New gas tank parts will be in along with a pair of headers this week. Then I can set the motors in and run the cables. The brake hydraulic master cylinder needs to be mounted and run that hose too. Its getting close, but also running out of time. Still need to skin it too.

Changed up the seats and had to rework the back of the frame. Small adjustments in the steering to make the tie rods work with the spindles. Mocked up the brake caliper and I will get it burned in this weekend. I need to pick up some 20g to skin the body. I will make the timeline, its a no fail mission for me.

Merry Christmas,
Well, been busy on the kart. Had to make a new brake master cylinder mount, caliper mounting bracket, cap all of the openings, skin the body, replace the two motors, run the brake and throttle lines. Original motors did not seem to run right but still might be able to be used, need to trouble shoot more. On final assembly the master cylinder failed so a new one is on the way and will be here by Monday. I want to add a little more to the skin too. The clones were very excited about the kart. Its been a rough few months of fab work, on top of school and the job. But its worth it since they like it. More mods to come too.

Looking good, and the skin is a good idea to help keep the mud off the driver.

Well, this thing rips. The clones did a good shake down of the kart today and by spring I will not have any grass in my yard and my neighbors too. I'll continue to tweak the build and do upgrades to the motors, gearing and brakes. Powder coating will also get done when I'm satisfied with the fabrication tests. I may even make some adjustments to get more travel out of the front arms too. Its been a fun project and the kids love it. Glad you all got a kick out of it too. Ill continue to post pics when I make changes. Happy New Years from TN.
