Yeah so a huge pile of parts on the way. I'm gonna have to get with the program. It's funny looking at craigslist and finding other people's half finished projects and boxes of parts for sale. I quit! Lol. I'll finish it. Lol.

Got longer axle in today, new tires on and brakes installed and working. So gotta put the 420 on, jackshaft and torque converter. I'm gonna order 420 hot rod parts this wkND. That and a kill switch and I'll be contest qualified. Hopefully get more done I need fenders.

I love the way it looks now, tires and wide rear really set it off. Yeah, I know what you're thinking lol.

420 on the operating bench tonight. Think I'm gonna pull the shroud off also and paint it and the gas tank I'm sick of black engines.

My first instinct was yellow but then figured it would just end up looking like a champion brand engine. So I went with metallic blue. I'm glad I did I love the way it turned out. I always had a thing for the metallics when I was a kid so what the heck.

Yeah bad mood last nite nvrmd the rant. Gotta roll the beast to the front of the shop to finish it up, probably after tomorrow I hope. Of course by finish I mean contest requirements I'll do what I can. The paint turned out nice, waiting on a black header I think it will look good.

Doing a little prefab tonight, forgot to order 3/4 shaft collars but don't need those to get going. Just kinda wanted to lay it out.

Coming along. Don't have my header yet it's on the way. Debating on that, this is a cruiser not sure if I want a roaring engine at ear level lol. Gotta put on some kinda back rest that doubles as a flying engine parts shield. And get taller handlebars. I need to adjust the belt span. Runs good, gave up on the original carb stole one off another engine just couldn't get it right, ordered a new one. For $20 I'm not spending the time messing with it. I'm happy that the wider rear end actually did improve the drifting. The bad kind of drifting lol.

This thing is probably going half as fast as the 212 did at barely above idle lol. Will have to get that belt tension narrowed down before I decide on messing with any ratios. This thing really isn't safe at high speeds but definitely like it so far it's perfect for cruising and looks cool. Look better when I build fenders.

Um yeah my test drive tonight ended in disaster. Got tq issues. Exactly what i dont know. Its dark out, pushed it in the drive look at tmrow. Im hoping it didnt ruin the belt i only have one at the moment. I think i sensed disaster soon enough to let off the gas but i did smell burnt rubber. Usually I like that smell but not this time.

40 series right? Flip the Driven pulley. Hope there is room to mount the spring inboard.

Oh boy i feel like a dummy now. I will have to look tonight when i go out to the shop. Um yeah i only looked at blue prints for years no wonder i got fired lol.

To my defense the pics where i bought it from show it both ways. I kinds doubt they even know. From previous dealings.

The supplier told me today its bidirectional qnd requires no mods either way. I gota check my center distances again when I get time.

Hurray it fits! Now that ya'll clued me in that you need the reverse wound yellow spring to run it the way I have it, unlike my supplier, I might get lucky. I gota taste of what it will be like running right, nice. Ran out to the barn this am to turn it around to see if it would clear everything and a little into the oil plug but I can trim it off on one side like the tav30 install. Unfort errands to run this am finish later today see if it works.

This stuff is getting addictive I might have to put timed locks on my barn so I can only work on it a couple hours per day lol.
