oh yea , let's put it this way on 12/31 it will be in a race so there should be plenty of vid.

just a quickie....spent sunday on the pedal mounts and some welding and grinding. stripped off the roof , tank and wing.
new trailmaster tank arrived today so i put it in the storage room w/ the roof, swingarm, side panels and wing. it''ll be a while before i need that.

got a start on the throttle set up today. hopefully both sides will be done by tomorrow.

finished up the pedals!
i bought to sticks of 1/4" rod thinking to bake both a brake rod and throttle rod but only ended up making the throttle rod and using the original brake rod to save myself a little time. i had to center the pedals but i wanted the rods as outboard as possible so here's what i came up with.

well got a few nibbles done tonight.
trying to get the chassis done so i can move to the front end which i am still pondering how much fab i want to do vs using stock. i know i am using a different rack which means different tie rods so i'll have to think about it. in the meantime i bent and added a piece of tubing to be used to mount the shoulder harness tab and a coupe of other pieces to the bottom rear of the cage which will serve as the lap belt tabs. i got a little sidetracked helping a friend get his yerf race ready by welding up his spiderbox.
tomorrow is my anniversary so i will anticipate a night off.

not much to report, the shop's been busy over the weekend and i am waiting on some parts to start the front end. but i did get a few minutes and figured i'd knock the belly pan out.

pulled out my crosshammer 250 project and knocked one side of the front end off along w/ the stock crossfire arms to get a point of reference and find that happy medium of where i wanted to be.
today i start on the spindles

well it pays to keep stuff laying around, like this partial crossfire front end clip.
this helped so my father n law could grind on the frame. got the spindles done, just need to get some heims in for the tie rods and the front should be done. the spindles started out as joyner 250 spindles.

well i havent had a chance to post in a while, been a little busy. new units being delivered to the shop for christmas and just got back from a cruise with the wife.
in the meantime been whittling away at the project. remounted the rack to get a more correct steering geometry, finished the tie rods and tabs for the spindles and completed the shock mounts for the front. while i was gone on the cruise my father in law started the painting process on all of the fabbed hard parts and the finishing work on the chassis

i also fabricated the new exhaust pipe this weekend. this should bring me up to date. today i work on relocating the pedals.

Do you have a tube bender for the exhaust? Also, what paint did you use for it?

yes, i sell a lot of gy6 buggy exhausts. i use a JD2 bender.

Posting from my phone from the race track, machine is done but it does need some work. Actually finished it and fired it up on the trailer before practice. Here's some pics hopefully this qualifies. I'll follow up with the progress pics and some video as soon as get home and have a chance.
