You did? Did the X-box take over all your faculties?

Lol, no it didn't. I'm almost done but I've ran into an issue: while bolting the driven unit to the 212, I stripped the shaft and the bolt. I'm going to try and return the predator but for now I'm at a standstill... :(

Try tapping the hole, and getting a new bolt. Should work and you get the learning experience.
Beside there is no loss if it don't work then take the motor back.

Any body know the thread size? Tell him which tap to buy.

Would a heli-coil work better . I've never used them. but he won't have to over size the hole.

Sometimes you can just clean out the threads with the original size. With out over sizing the hole.

Thanks for going above and beyond guys, I think I'll just take it back (if they let me) I didn't really mod it exept for the header, I just took it off and put on the muffler but the low oil kill is not hooked up:/

i will recommend a time sert only for a same size thread repair in aluminum. With my vw heads(aluminum, i have all 4 holes time serted at the time of purchase.

but with these motors a retap all of them to m10x1.5 when i get them. Mostly because ive got a box for of bolts and m10x1.5 is my most common bolt

Are you ever gonna put that fire breathing predator on anything?
Or do you just sit in this kart all day turning the steering wheel, and going VROOOM VROOOOOM?

:roflol: I did actually mock-up the engine to determine lengths for throttle cables and kill switches etc. I have to tap the engines crankshaft first, otherwise I'd of finished today.

What are you tapping the Crank for?
And your Sprocket is on the Wrong side still.
Do you have a Jack shaft?

Remember? I stripped it. And yes, I have a jackshaft, otherwise my sprocket would still be on the original side. :roflol: me and my clearance issues....
There's a twelve year old workin' on sundays, I'd say that's normal but he's not!

Mr Spindles, do you like kill all your toys as soon as you get them?
You know, like rip the heads off GI Joe's as soon as they come out of the package?
Spread all the limbs over the entire yard, and things like that?

You're starting to remind me of a kid I used to know years ago.

There used to be a company called Corgi.

They made exquisite steel car replicas. The suspension on these things were remarkable. The doors and trunks all opened. The engines under the hood were beautifully done.
The interiors were finely detailed. The metal was thick and heavy.
These were gorgeous cars, and to say the least, they were not cheap.

Anyways the point here, is that he would get two a year from his Grandma. One for Christmas, and one for his birthday.
As soon as they came out of the box, he took them straight out to the backyard and pummeled the snot out of them with a hammer so he could have "Neato smash up cars"

For the life of me I can't remember his name. This wasn't you was it???

That's not absurd. My nephew is like that. No respect for his toys. They are all broke with in a few hours of him getting them. They once gave him a kiddy quad and he had it about 3 days and poured sand in the gas tank. It now rusts in the yard.
He could destroy an anvil.

If he was my kid............
