So no updates for awhile. Well maybe. I can't ride it for a few more weeks. I pulled my right arm almost out of socket last week and it's bruised up and hurting pretty badly. I would post a reference pic but it's not exactly work safe ! Needless to say we might still finish the welding and get it ready for testing. But it might be somebody else riding it.

The new one off torque converter got shipped today so all we gotta do is mount and finish welding everything. So it will be ready before I'm ready. Unfortunately.

The brake caliper is the only thing left but it's paid for already. Just waiting for mcp to get off their dead butts and ship it.

Oil slick on pavement + me pushing trailer in = pulled and stretched bicep and I also sliced open 3 fingers trying to hold on to the rear gate when I fell.

It seems to be getting better just don't wanna chance it with the mini bikes front tire in the air and it slamming down. Lol

Pic it's not so bad looking now............ Well sort of !

Well the torque converter kit came in from go power sports..............

After all that. The engine won't even bolt on the frame at all. The left engine bolts run right through the stupid main frame rails. Oh well I didn't care if it got finished anyways. I will just part it out cause I can't move the engine over or raise it up to clear the nuts underneath the engine plate. Only way I could do it is cut the whole chassis apart and make the main hoop wider in the frame rails. Cause I **** sure ain't cutting slots in the main frame rails to make it unsafe !

It's a huge deal when you can't get off work to go get the tubing. I only have a 30min. Lunch and I work before they open and leave after they close. And they are the only ones local that sell it by the foot. Everybody else is a 20' or so minimum. Or worse actually work on it that heavily and actually ride it sometime this year. It will sit right where it's at for awhile. If I can get where I can actually lift the chassis off the platform and cut it up I will eventually.

Could you possibly use one of those adapter plates that omb sells?

I don't think I have enough wiggle room to raise the engine for one. Do you have a link. Only one I know of is from NR racing i think is where I saw it.

And I was really upset earlier. This whole ordeal the last few weeks has been pretty bad with my arm and nothing working. But the torque converter kit is awesome. It is a whole lotta on the heavy side tho.

I have sent a email to Rick at minichoppersocal to see if he will make a new main frame rail that is a 1 1/4" wider then I can cut the old one out and just weld the other one in. If he does I'm gonna send him the final dimensions and plenty of pics so he can offer one up for a big block style in the future.

Joe, I always enjoyed you're builds. Don't let anger cloud you're good judgment it will just bite you in the a$$ later. Take a step away and relax for a while, it will work out in the end. :cheers2:

And that plate is for a small.block. Remember my engine is a bigger gx390 bolt pattern.

If anything this would be the one............
