Ok, gents, need some help here. I have driven the kart a few times now and am starting to believe i have too much tire for the kart, 16x8-7. No biggie, i can add a torque converter instead of the CC. My question being, i know that a "standard TC" has the driven sandwiching the sprocket between itself and the backing plate. Can that be reversed and put on the outer side of the driven? If so what are the proper steps needed to reverse it? spacers? adjustment on the driver?

Thanks!

I'm not sure, but I don't you can run twin tc's like twin cc's.... Why not try a gear ratio change first? It'd be cheaper.....

Why would running twin TC's apply? one engine, Jim. Plus i would like to have a little more versatility. A TC will only run around 115 on evilbay

No worries jim! The wife took the news way better than expected too, instead of what i thought was coming (you just built that thing and now its broken, how much money is THIS going to cost???) i got aww that sucks i didnt even get to ride it yet. Oh well i should be able to get the TC after next week and get it installed. **** bills always get in the way....

I refuse to be late or behind! never ends well!

EDIT: So while dreaming of what this thing is going to be like when i get the TC installed i started wondering. I have exhaust and intake on the motor but haven't done a thing with jetting. I cant imagine these are terribly hard to open up but i'm used to edelbrock and holley carbs...who's got some info or a guide to jet sizing? I've already got the pin vise and bit set hiding somewhere..

Open it up to around .036-.038"...... The emulsion tube should be opened up too, but I don't remember what size I drilled mine to. You can buy one for like $15.....
