I had a Suzuki R450 up to around 85 km/h. Ran out of space, and scared owner. Rode for first time day before that.

50 MPH? Not that fast for that quad...those will get to 70-75 MPH

Only bikes I've ever owned were a Honda 50, and a Suzuki DS-80. Both 2-strokes. That DS-80 was such a great bike. And the NOISE! Took the baffle out of the exhaust and it just sounded epic.

Got a top end rebuild kit ordered (0.020 over) Modded & Polished the head.

Looks like you slipped a few times with the porting tool Doesnt look like much gasket surface for such a mean high compression bike.

Lulz at bucket for a center stand, I use a milk crate. Mainly because I can tip the 300lb bike sideways and rock it on instead of having to pick the **** thing up.

I usually use a custom riveted aluminum stand, but my 200 is sitting on that ATM. I have about 20 of those buckets so i thought what the hell. The 490 isn't too bad to pick up, surprisingly.

What size/brand of carb is on that monster?

Its just got a 38mm Mikuni. When i get the cash im upgrading to a 40mm Flatslide.

Even bigger than a 40 wouldnt hurt if you have the cash. Posably a 42. But the 42 is a pretty massive carb. Do you mean the kind with the square top with the cable routing kinda like a round slide or like what my JR has with the butterfly where the throttle cable attaches.

If i had the engine ported and i wanted to race it i would go bigger. Some full out drag racers go 50mm+. I'm just using it for a trail bike, with a few drag races tossed in. I would rather have good bottom end than top, especially for what i'm using it for. I mean the kind like a roundslide. The upgraded carb gives it instant throttle response.

Nice carb. Have you ever seen the Billet PSI carbs? Those things are a work of art. There even made for Kenny because they dont use jets! You can adjust them with a driver.

I know a guy with like 3-4 just sitting in a box collecting dust like thats crazy. They where huge, when I saw them I was shocked.

I actually could use a larger carb for my 125. The port looks quite a bit larger then the carb venturi. The stock carb is a KEHIN but looks just like the mikuni 22 I have on my go kart but they differ a tiny bit like bolt spacing on the bowl and such. Would a larger carb give the bike a noticible torque increase threw the mid range? The bike has tons of low end and screaming top end RPM but the torque kinda falls off mid range.

I think if you got a BRAND NEW carb it would help enormously. New technology is a lot better than 1982's. Id go a few sizes up.

How would I adapt a larger carb to the cylinder head? Also I had to order a new carb to head boot because it was full of cracks and leaking air and the RPMS started to get wild. Kinda scared me lol. I think I'll just stick with the carb I have.
