Yep- land yacht! LOL- reminds me of the 1983 Chevrolet Caprice wagon I had for about a year... Dang thing was bigger than some minivans!

Since you're a Toyota guy (Off topic, I know- sorry)

My first car was a 1977 Toyota Celica ST liftback, 20R, 5spd. Dangit, I LOVED that car! After that, I got a '76 GT liftback, same engine and tranny. If I could still find 'em, I'd still own one. Excellent cars- very reliable, pretty quick all things considered, and absolutely textbook in the winter. On really cool thing they had- A timing adjustment knob right on the distributor for dialling in timing for different fuels/altitudes/conditions. Never seen that before, and never again. But VERY cool!

Yup! After those two cars, I bought an '84 Xtracab 4x4 pickup with the 22R, and enjoyed that almost as much. (Didn't have the coolio distributor, though).

I'll say this much- I wish I still had (or could find) one of those cars. Never mind these stupid lowered hondas that the kids are driving. I'll show ya a Japanese "tuner"! All that and RWD, too!

My newer 08 model (top of the range) still has windup windows manual locking hubs and no central locking


I think the diesel 4x4s were less revolutionary more stupidly reliable and simple

Man- manual locking hubs is where it's at! Automatic crap is lovely until it malfunctions! Been there, done that. Yet I NEVER had a problem with a mechanical transfer case shifter and manual hubs. Inconvenient? Maybe. But I would rather have THAT 10-second inconvenience rather than being stuck 'cuz the electronic system failed. There's nothing like lying in the snow underneath your truck with a socket wrench and a pair of vise-grips so you can MANUALLY shift your FAILED automatic 4x4 system! K.I.S.S.

Dual-pipes, Floor-shifter, Wire wheels and several other things.

ha yes i know they are simpler
just saying most manufactures have locked hubs and push button 4x4
manual locking is better, just means u cant engage 4x4 while in the vehical

wire wheels would be cool
im sure u can still get them but isnt there more to it the just bolting on the rim
dont they have different hubs

you could try to take the inner door skin off that damaged door
its a large shallow dent, i bet u could know most of it out with a piece of wood
its worked for me, but i knocked it back within a few hours of the event

MY uncle has been a bodywork guy since the late 80s. He said the dent is no problem. I was thinking the sim. wire wheels. this pic is the plan.

I'd think one crossover pipe would be enough...my Buick 350 ran well for years with straight duals, no crossover at all. Of course it didn't have converters, but if you gut yours then they're only visual for the inspections.
