1970-1980 Phoenix Kart Build and Q/A

Got a couple things painted my favorite shade of blue. Actually grabber blue is my favorite but this safety blue thinned is very close to that.

I actually messed up and missed about a 1.5” spot on the side of the steering wheel mount. (On the inside) I’ve got to paint another work bench today though that will require two coats of paint so I’m going to do two more coats on the gokart at the same time.

So one coat of dirty metal primer followed by one coat of clean metal primer and then 4 coats of paint. Hopefully it will hold up well.

Helping daddy put the new axle bearings on.

I got the bearings installed and made the floor plate out of alum and bent it. As you can see I’m also working on these work benches at the moment. I think it will be a week or two before the next steps are taken towards getting it done. Ive got a bunch of parts I need to order but it’s going to be a week or two before I can order them.

The Welding table is going to stay like this u til I order a certiflat fabblock.

Many people get upset when I compromise the integrity of their threads by posting my thoughts. I don't have much input unless you want to talk engine mods. LOL

I was trying to keep this updated and then I also needed a thread for the yearly build off. Hence why I have two going. Should I stop updating this one and just post in the other.

I'd go with whatever is easiest for you. For me the more the better, but that's because I get bored at work a lot.
