Yep, get the jackshaft positioned about where you want it,
then measure where you are at in relationship to the engine.

Make fine adjustments until the distance is one of the ones in the chart.

Make sure the pulley fits.
Make sure the sprocket fits.

If you must go in between two sizes, get the bigger belt.

Search for replacement belts in that size just to make sure.

Are you a GPS rep? LOL. It would be crazy to buy that thing. You can get a jack shaft kit, 40 series pulleys, and belts for about $175. If im not mistaking, they want $400 for that kit. So they want $275 bucks for a $30 belt and $30 piece of steel.

Actually I am cause I have a used one in the for sale section. :lolgoku:

Thanks everyone, but how do i know how reasonably loose the torque converter belt is suppose to be?

you measure the distance and buy the correct belt for said distance... easy huh ;)

vice versa.. say you have a belt; then adjust the distance to match it's specs.
also not too difficult, is it?
