Hey I’ve got a 188f 13hp grass kart

I’m wanting to get more power out of it I have removed the govnor and currently it has no air filter cover an the fuel jet is 1mm not sure if factory or not it runs pretty good also has the standard exhaust , what’s the best carburettor to use as an upgrade and what sprockets do people use I have 10 tooth on engine an 48 on axle fastest I’ve got it is 74 kph

Youll have to provide a few pics of the kart.. That with description will also help...
The orifice size on the jet depends on the carb type..

And that pretty good for speed already.... Brakes for these karts cant handle that much at all...especially that fast...

I'd start with a high flow air filter, header exhaust, and maybe a little jet drilling if needed.
From there, you can add a billet aluminum connecting rod and flywheel, and heavier valve springs to allow you to redline it higher, longer, faster, safer.
In MPH you are going about 45 mph already, and to a lot of people that is way plenty, but if you want to go faster you should probably consider a roll cage, seatbelt, and upgraded brakes.

I would start with sorting your air filter out first before your engine seizes from getting dirt inside.

Your gear ratio is already at the max WRT getting the max speed out of it. If you gear any higher you will be burning the clutch. The speed you are getting now IMO is about all you are going to get (and probably too fast anyway for a kart to handle safely)

I think the OP had the filter but not the top airbox cover.
