100$ Rupp Dart Kart (maybe?)

I paid 100$ and drove 1 hour a 3min picked this up with a ford escort. I think it might be a rupp dart kart but (which i hope not) it might be a rob ron is there a notable difference? It has the rupp wheel rupp turbines rupp style rear end and a seat back that buttons on

Well I tell ya, that rear end is definitely out of the ordinary! Note how the axle hangers are integral to the frame to allow chassis flex, and it's got a floating motor mount! It looks like you got a 60s race kart, my friend!

Haha i got a race kart now i can show off and bore people with history! And i used parts from the motor that came from it to fix a 2hp briggs

5hp briggs it was messed up and it sat in a barn for many years both valves stuck and exhaust port corroded so badly there was no threads and the bolts broke off

2hp briggs i fixed with the parts i had or a 5hp tecumseh flathead. Sad to say but im tempted to put a 212 on it

I started fixing small stuff like shining and disaasembling the axel. One of the front hubs is bent and the other the wheel is seized on

Depends what you are going to do. If all you are going to do is put an engine and fresh tyres on, then probably not worth entering into the build off

I looked at the pic and I noticed some differences. the front wheels don't have the supports, and they are lowered down. I dont know if that just means a different date of manufacturing , but I though I'd just point that out.
