No need to replace the pulley... just go and buy a snapring that fits (30 cents.. maybe 40)
put it back together and the driver pulley should be fine
(worst case.. the orange thingy needs to be replaced.. what can such grommet cost? 5 bucks? ten incl shipping?...)

Why bother to search for some 100 dollar part you don't need if you can also search for a 30 cent part you do need?

You're welcome..

So it's been only the weights rattling?!

Strange, why haven't they made a noise when in neutral??

magic maybe ;)
Anywhoo.. glad you solved the problem!

Possible.. odd... but who am I to say it's not :D
But keep your eyes and ears open... there must not be any but engine noise left;
And just to be sure, give the driven pulley (the one on the gearbox) a good wiggle to make sure it doesn't have too much play or makes any clonking noise when doing so.

Again: just to be sure ;)

glad you checked!

yeah the weights.. I don't see how they can wear differently, but according to cvtech they could...

:( too bad they got messed up inside the clutch; but I'll hpe they'll level out eventually, so that it gets smoother over time.

Well since there is no depiction of the original snapring
I can only assume it sits I a groove inside the orange part and locks against the outside not the inside...
pick the beefiest that fits that part.
(if the one you got does not fit properly, ask amsportworks or cvtech directly for assistance to find the correct size)

I bet they're happy to help.
