YA baby were talking slicks!! With the popularity of 0 turn lawn mowers showing up every where for sale, they run slick tires. The local farm store selling the mowers I checked the tire rack and the slicks looked good for a kart. I wrote down info size 11x6.00-5 ***** 13x5.00-6 Maker Hi-Run ??

This was probably one of the most spammy and incoherent threads I've read in a bit. The slick tires are used so it does not damage the turf with the casters. You can buy Maxxis race kart slicks for a decent price.

And dude really with the joke? This isn't YouTube comment sections, or 4chan.

See, there's "all my great-grandparents came here from Germany" German (which I surmise, being from Northern Michigan, is probably the case)

And there's "I am a citizen of Germany" German.

The same joke might not be funny to both.

That aside...

Mower slicks (front tires for ZTRs) are heavier and harder than go kart slicks because they're meant to support a heavier machine and last as long as possible.

Tires at TSC are WAY WAY overpriced. I had to buy a replacement front tire for my garden tractor in a pinch, and it was $45 for a single off-brand16x6.5-8 4 ply turf tire. You can get Carlisles on Amazon for $27ea.

Anyways, tyres...
be aware that garden slick (turf savers) are usually really soft and weak
The HIRUN slicks are available in 2 ply and 4 ply for all I know
(actually a chinese company SCTR, Sutong China Tire Ressource)

Nothing bad about it CST is also chinese (ChengShin Tire)
and with that so is Maxxis..

Anyways.. for road application I'd not rely on 2ply slicks..
4ply is what I'd aim for.

Same holds true for Carlisle btw..
they too offer two and four ply slicks,

And since some sizes are in fact available in both variants,
photos can be very deceiving
make sure to not compare a 2ply tyre with a 4ply one by accident
when checking prices ;)

PS I don't think a SCTR 4ply slick is any bad..
I bet it's not that much different from any name brand 4ply slick
as long as you do not compare it against proper racing slicks of course.
