ok so after being away from this forum for a while,,and playing around with the cart build,,,, i have decided to change my project,,,, am taking the easy way out,, after getting my mower clean up ,and looking for parts for it,i notice that the parts are very hard to come by,the plan is build a...

am still waiting for the lady to call me back to go look at the thing,,,,this is the ad '' used last year, not turned on this year, person said spark plugs need cleaning and or replacing and should work, only want $50.00 as is ''' so it sounds like its a good deal ,just to get the engine from it

thanks for the response,,,,,,,,,,,,,, am asking cause am going to look at one today ,,, and i don't want a vertical one ,,as you no i need another engine for my project,,,,, so that being said is there a quick check i could do to see if it is vertical ,,,or horizontal

newbie here with a question,,,, are snowblowers horizontal or vertical shafts,, do they make good cart motors :devil2:

ok, so here is an update ....i ve decide to change the project ,that engine needs a new carb,its leaking fuel like crazy ,and its going to be slow,as you guys said,..and i no after its built am going to want to go faster,,so instead of spending money on a carb,and pulleys, ,i should spend it on...

so now i need to see if the engine starts,,,, thats my plan for Sunday,put fresh oil in it ,put fuel in the cylinder and give it a pull ,,,,,,,, so the question is now ,what size pulley should i get big or small,,,,, am thinking either small or medium but not to big ,,,,,, you no the more i...

ok so i turned it by hand, it turned 6 time to turn the output shaft 1 time ,,,,,,, i opened the case up and it as no clutch in it ,,,, now am going to look for a manual for it ,,,,, here are some picks of the case :D

ya ok i get that this engine might be a pain in the but to get it to go fast ,,,, but am not looking to go fast ,,,am looking to push snow out of my way,and to pull a wagon(GARDNING CART) ,around the yard,,,,,,,am new to this cart building so i dont whant to build a monster as my first...

ok the numbers on that plate reads 220615,and thats at the bottom of the plate,,and on the engine they are 81352 943600 3160 thats it for the numbers ,

ill try something else

of what i can make out its some thing like 9436636003760 its in the shed right now,, so i can t check it out ,,i understand the gear ratio(not really) but if the engine wont do than i guess gear ratio doesnt count yet ,,,,,, im a newby ,but i no that it cant go with out and engine lol

just woundering if this engine would work for my first cart (snow pusher )and wagon puller for summer :.)going fast for this one is not importent need to be able to push SNOW :thumbsup:
