    Rebuild in Houston, TX

Small world that you ordered from gokartgalaxy: he's up here in East Texas too if I remember right his name is Clint too! I met the guy last year when I asked if I could meet him at his house to check out steering shafts for my son's first kart to be sure they would be long enough. Wasn't but...

Whats the biggest wheel/tire combo I can fit on my Manco?

Got some old-*** Manco frames a while back to restore for the wife and myself to ride around the back yard with our son. He happened to crash his two-seater Manco and actually snapped the rear half of the frame so it no worky. I've decided to take my one-seater and get it rolling for him. I...

    2.5hp HF Engine

He already has the 6.5 clone. The frame split in one spot so he can't ride it until I repair it. I do have the screw all the way down to stop the throttle from going any further past the point it takes to engage the clutch. Right now the motor is sitting on my kart that I just need wheels...

    2.5hp HF Engine

Yeah, thats what I'm gonna do anyway. Just curious what yall thought.

    2.5hp HF Engine

Seriously considering getting this motor for my 6-year-olds kart and using the 6.5hp for mine. Think it would push him along near full-throttle just fine to keep up with me at partial throttle?

    Another(two, actually)Minor Manco

Yeah, I wasn't very serious about going with 11hp. I know the 6.5 on my son's two seater pushes me along just fine. I can't wait to get this thing moving and rip up the back yard with him. Currently doing so with him anyway on my Honda XR80, but four wheels would be so much more fun.

    Another(two, actually)Minor Manco

Craigslits rocks! Found these two frames posted on the site the other day: white one for $20, and the red for $40. Called the guy and offered $50 and he took the offer. This is the condition they came home in. So far I can make one good rolling kart out of parts from each. The white frame...

    Hello from Texas

Where at in this great state of Tejas? :)

    Minor Manco

Starting work on the rollcage/rollbar this week actually since he won't be riding the kart much, if at all....he's gotten hooked on Super Mario Galaxy 2 and enjoys the co-star mode with me playing Mario so..... :) ....yeah. Which is still father/son time so its cool.

    Minor Manco

Quick sneak peak at the completed kart...just gave it to him for his birthday today and I haven't had time to take detailed pics but they're comin'. :D I have to say...considering what it looked like before(two months ago).... ....I did pretty good friggin' job!

    Minor Manco

Green enough for ya?!! Went around with a wire brush attachment on the drill to clean up some high rust spots and stubborn paint and found out the very first color was yellow. Seems to be the same yellow as this kart, Clint Burleigh's project...

    Minor Manco

I doubt he could flip it: never gets fast enough and he won't ride it like I would. And if he was to flip it, I would be there to get him out since he always rides under my strict supervision. I'm pretty confident he's safe. Worst injury so far is a blister from the steering wheel and eyes...

    Minor Manco

Updates!!! Yeah, its been over a month now. But the old "Minor Manco" is very close to being complete. Right now I've got it together and running safe enough for my son to run circles around our 3/4 acre backyard. New parts: pedals, tie rod ends, seats, cables, motor, clutch, chain, band...

    The Family Go kart Video

Man! C'mon!!!! I think its ridiculous that its gone this far. I will agree that it is vandalism if that park has a sign saying "no motor vehicles" or "no defacing." We know no details of this place. We don't know that it had signs or not even if the man was maybe permitted to let his sons...

    Hi from Texas!

Looks like each of our carts will be like twins seperated at birth!! I'm going with the Blue Clone as well. Looking forward to seeing it come together.

    Hi from Texas!

Yeah, gas pedal...duh!! Don't know why I thought and said brake pedal. I am leaving mine a two seater for my son to carry around a buddy. Wonder what the chances are that each of our frames came from Blaz's family shop 20+ years ago?? Or at least somewhere in the Houston area.

    Hi from Texas!

The frame looks EXACTLY like the one I just got from my father-in-law, who lives in Houston. Mine isn't a live axle, has its floor plate and the engine mounts for a single wheel drive, obviously. I'm guessing you moved the brake pedal over from its original location to accommodate your...

    The Family Go kart Video

Neither does your comment... I would be willing to bet that THAT go kart does no more damage to the field than the players do to it with their cleats. And it looks like a giant public park or practice field to me, not a school's soccer field. Great thing about grass...it grows back!!!!! I...

    From East Texas

The wheels are solid two piece. Five inch in the rear, four inch in the front. I really don't know if he did this as a kit or just pieced it together or even got it from someone else that changed the wheels. My wife told me that her brother rolled it once, so maybe he bent some of the...
