I got the Kart running thanks to all of your help. However, I have a new problem now. When I start the predator 212 and move the lever from start to run, the kart start going forward (accelerating) quickly. What could be causing this? What do I need to adjust? Thank you for all your help.

I did turn the idle screw. I am not sure if this will cause the engine not to start.

I bought a predator 212 Hemi around June and did the initial 10 minute run for the break in. The engine turned on fine. I drained the oil and added new oil for the next part of the break in. I ran into issues with my kart so the engine sat for almost 2 months. I finally have the parts for my...

Sorry for the delay but I was finally able to get the measurements for the belt size. I only moved the engine for the measurements and left the drive shave in the same position. the measurements were 8 1/4 and almost 9 1/2 inches. I am looking forward to hearing back on what size belt to get.

Thank you for taking a look at the pulleys for me. From what I have learned recently, I thought the driver was a 30 series and the driven was a 20 series. So it sounds like I need to buy a 20 series Driver pulley. I do not fully understand your 2nd paragraph. I will send you an email.

I took off the Driven pulley and it measures a little over 7 inches. I guess I have a 7 inch pulley then.

I will look into those amazon quad covers. The Driven pulley was a little hard to measure because of the pipe on one side and the other circle thing on the other side. It looked like it measured 8 inches. I will check again when I take it off to clean it with break cleaner. What is CVT...

The chain the kart came with said 41 on it so I ordered a 41. Thanks for the tip with the longest and shortest distance. Go Kart supply nor OMB have 8 inch Driven pulleys on their websites.

This is my first go kart and I was just expecting to buy a new motor and have it run. I am having problem after problem. The current problem is getting the right driver pulley and belt so the Kart can hopefully start running. I am sure I will be able to install them, I just need to make sure...

Regarding the adjustments, thank you for noticing that. That didn't even come into my mind. How does that change things? It seems to me that the center distance is now variable and I don't know if that makes it harder or easier to find the right belt.

So it sounds like I will not have to buy another Driven pulley. I will just need to take it apart and clean it with break cleaner. I have a chain and a chain breaker in the mail from amazon. I may have to buy those again as there are some bad reviews. So I would need to buy a 20 series...
