I bought a predator 212 Hemi around June and did the initial 10 minute run for the break in. The engine turned on fine. I drained the oil and added new oil for the next part of the break in. I ran into issues with my kart so the engine sat for almost 2 months.

I finally have the parts for my kart the run and now the engine won't start. The engine has gas and oil. It has only run for 10 minutes in June for the break in.

I am new to karts and small engines so any help would be appreciated.

I have not been able to run this go kart yet because of so many issues. I was excited that I was finally going to be able to run it today but the engine said Nope. Ugh. So frustrating.

I did turn the idle screw. I am not sure if this will cause the engine not to start.

Sanch109. To prevent this from happening in the future, the next time that the engine will sit for more than a week without running do this. Shut the fuel off,
( there's a lever right by the choke lever ) and then let the engine run at idle until it dies from running out of fuel. Your carburetor float bowl will stay nice and clean. When you go to start it again, just turn the fuel lever back on, wait about 30 seconds for the float bowl to fill, and she'll start right up. Something else. Since the tanks are rarely drained, and sometimes they sit for extended periods without use, it's a good idea to mix Stabil fuel stabilizer ( or another similar product ) into the gas. Very cheap insurance. Prevents exactly what you just went through.
