Just wanted to provide a final update........ Finally got my hands on a new predator....broke it in and the modified, runs great With the new motor I think alot of my issues were with the Tec running like crap since everything is great now..well motor and clutch wise at least.... steering still...

Figured it out! The driven clutch wasn't pre-loaded right...took it apart and did it right watching the video from GoPowerSports.com........now i'm chewing the belt a bit...not completely but had some strings hanging...we will see i guess...

I recently grabbed this kart and have been working on it non stop since lol....When I picked it up it jerked like crazy on acceleration....after attempting cleaning the beat up driver clutch I opted to just order a new aftermarket one from GoPowerSports.com....also bought a new belt....replaced...

Here are pictures, ended up putting the old belt back on....was in decent shape and being worn helped the issue a bit.

Hey all, this isn't my first post but figured I would take a few to introduce myself and possibly get some questions answered. Totally a newbie here, revisiting my childhood dreams for my kids haha. Starting combing the web for a used go-kart after doing some research, didn't want to go with one...

So got the new drum and band installed but have encountered a new problem. Of course I misplaced the old band with the mounting bolt and clip so I had to improvise. Its pretty tight but spins and imagine after a brake in I should be ok.....The new issue is that the bearing on the other side...

Could you possibly do me a HUGE favor?? Fixing up the same cart for my daughter and cannot for the life of me remember where the brake pedal rod sits. Could you send take a pic of the underside showing the brake drum and band??

Thanks guys, all 4 tires are new and the correct size. Fronts are tube tires on 2 piece wheel. Rears are tubeless. Took it all apart and found the inner bearings on 1 side are complete junk, going to replace all of them.......played around a bit more and got the steering acceptable.....had about...

Thank you, don't know about an inch but could prob pull off a 1/2. what should I use for a spacer? I have a big box of fender washers, could stack them or what a piece of pipe or something else work better? Would this explain the intense shaking at full throttle? It gets so bad I can barely control.
