Tuning a Tav 30 series TC?

I am aware of replacing the springs on the driver unit which I assumed only changes what RPM the TC engages. Also I have the yellow comet spring for the driven unit on hand ready to install. I also learned about the three holes on the driven unit and I am considering switching to the first...

Speeds of kart. New to this.

I am new to Karts also but feel like I have learned a lot from this forum. For chain tension you can loosen your 4 engine mount bolts and adjust the engine back/forward to achieve desired tension. You will be surprised how off alignment your TAV can be. Belt should be completely in line with...

Dead spot at 3600rpm... bigger jet?

Predator 212 takes off great but seems to hit a wall at 3600rpm for a few seconds than flys to 5200rpm. Only other issue I have noticed that sometimes at WOT when tank is running low engine cuts out for a few seconds and have to feather the throttle to get it to fire up again. Bigger jet?

Thanks for the info on the governor/rpm, maybe I will go with the duromax for the added power over the predator.

    420cc engine options.

Just picked up this Manco two seater, would like to throw on something with torque. I would be happy with top speed around 35mph. Plan would be to mate it with a 40 series. Already have a 50mph cart with a built 212. Just want something with decent power and reliability. Don’t plan to mod...

This Duromax has my attention, cheaper than the predator and more HP... sounds like a winner.... right?

    420cc engine options.

Starting to do my research on 420cc engines. Is the predator 420cc a good option? Searched here and saw a lot of mentions of $180 Powerland 420cc from eBay but can’t seem to find them for sale

    Briggs 5hp... whats it worth?

This is the engine that originally came with the kart I purchased last year. Don’t know much about it but trying to get an em idea of what it’s worth? Or if it’s something special I should hold onto for future build? Runs perfect.
