Well I got the bolt out with a ton of pb blaster, anyone have a tip for getting it off the steering shaft? I know it's frozen

Is this bolt the only thing that holds the steering wheel to the steering shaft? The center of the wheel is just molded plastic not three bolts like I was expecting. It goes all the way through to the other side and I almost rounded it trying to get it off before:mad:

I was suggested this in my last thread so I figured I'd give it a shot before I butcher my own attempt at it. I need one of these custom fabricated, will pay for it and shipping! It's a pedal stop for manco that bolts in rather that welds on, can't find it anywhere on the internet

My friend took it to dealership he works at, after multiple attempts by multiple techs they finally got it off... that's how stuck it was

Honestly I hadn't even thought of putting it vertically!! I'm going to do that now and spray it so in the morning I can take another attempt at it

I wish I had a source of heat, I've been soaking it in pb blaster all day

I got the jam nut loose but unfortunately the end is frozen on and I can't get a grip on the tie rod to break the end loose

I'm definitely going to need some new tie rod ends after this haha

So I got the one off... the other one the jam nut is loose but the tie rod end is stuck!

No, sadly no vice here at home. I was trying to hold it with plyers like I did with the other end

I've tried both ways on that lock nut, it's not budging

I've tried everything I have available to me, pliers, vice grips, soaked in Wd40 and I still can't get this end to budge I don't have heat available to me

Manco 225 What am I missing below the steering wheel? I have two spindles along with 2 tie rods but I can't figure out how they mount. I have a feeling I'm missing some pieces that go below the steering wheel? Also the steering wheel does not move freely it is very tough to spin one way and...

I would had taken offense to that if I was worried about spending that much money on a new one and not enjoying the process of rebuilding my first kart on my own :rolleyes:

I just bought this go kart and I see the person I bought it from used this blue piece as a pedal stop. I cannot weld but the other side does not have this piece so I was looking to see where I could buy another one of these that bolt in? Thanks!

Sorry I didn't mean it directly like that. We are purchasing the motor this week while it's on sale but we're just working on getting all the wheels on before placing the motor on
