Gear ratio on a gx390 clone

I was wondering what my gear ratio should be with a comet 40. Yesterday I got a yerf 3002 for only $200, with a gx390 clone on it. The kart is in good condition, but the wheels are stuck on. However the clutch was burnt out, so i'm going to get a cvt. The axle sprocket is a 60 tooth. What should...

    Move engine or shorter jackshaft?

My bad, I guess this post was a bit misleading. I'm referring to the spacing between the jackshaft and the fuel tank is not wide enough, so I need to move either the engine over or shorten the jackshaft casing. I'm just wondering which is more structurally sound?

    Move engine or shorter jackshaft?

I know it wont fit, i measured the TC on my friends kart. I just dont know whether i should move the engine or shorten the jackshaft to fit it (which one is easier or better?) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Move engine or shorter jackshaft?

So I want to replace the centrifugal clutch with a torque converter, but there isnt enough width between the jackshaft and the engine for the driven. What should I do?

    What should I buy first?

It didnt have an air filter when I bought it, I should probably get one of those. Anybody have an ebay link to a briggs 135212 5hp air filter adapter? (The adapters for the cool angled air filters)

    What should I buy first?

Flat off-road; my friend is making a track so that 3 of us can race each other. Also, this never had a torque-a-verter, but its a real pain to set up the torque converter. The jackshaft is 3/4, which means that I have to buy the driver and the driven separately (there are no 3/4" to 3/4" torque...
