    Torque converter pullys won't align

So it's been a while eh, got into modifying my kids power wheel since he won't be driving the go kart for some time now(he's 2). Anyways, I got my reverse sprocket setup working, still using the 725 which you believe to be a symmetrical belt but one, side is for sure flat and the other angled. I...

    Torque converter pullys won't align

Update: Well I thought I had it all done, but I got lazy towards the end and didn't bolt the pillow block to the frame just figured pressure from the shaft would be enough. The pillow block slipped off the frame from vibrationand and all the pressure went straight to the TC mounting plate and...

    Torque converter pullys won't align

So I ran into yet another minor setback an am in need of some more knowledgeable guidance. I must say I kinda forsaw this problem arising... The shaft that comes with the TC, has a Mybe 11/16-3/4 drop down to 5/8 shaft therefore the TC bearings would have to be that 11/16-3/4 I.D. The extended...

I can weld but don't have a welder, and sadly enough I work in a fabrication shop and my main position is running a brake press, just knowing the angles like you said, mine are quite bent to use as reference and once you weld the bolt on it's nearly, if not impossible, to re break the spindle...

    Torque converter pullys won't align

While we're discussing all the mishaps and problems with this go kart and While I'm waiting on my shaft and parts, you think there would be anyway to use a different steering spindle than the one that's on my kart stock. Ofc my kart is discontinued so I cant by a relplacmemt part and mine are...

Do yall think it would be possible to carve out my own axle keyway per say, only just need to extend the preexisting keyway out farther towards the middle of the shaft? Thanks for the words of incouragmemt @whittrashrocker

    Torque converter pullys won't align

Apparently this thing was made by idiots, and if it didn't have sentimental value I wouldnt be going through this trouble I would have just tossed it but it was bought by dad(15 years ago) who passed away last year for the grandkids( my nieces and nephews) and now I have it for my son. Its...

    Torque converter pullys won't align

Yeah its been work for sure. Either way I do it, ive got a bit of fabrication to do... My axle keyway doesnt go far enough for me to mount my sprocket as close to the motor as possible, So... I guess I will have to dremel the slot longer. I have a support bar that wont allow my new bigger...

    Torque converter pullys won't align

Ahh I understand, but the shaft that runs through my stock jackshaft has 2 sprockets on it that are welded to the shaft. I have already ordered a new longer shaft, lock collars, and 2 pillow blocks. I have a 55t axle sprocket. I was wanting to just use my original jackshaft but revmove those...

Still not quite sure what you mean, I am new to go karts and basically anything with sprockets hence the reason I started this post. I do better with visual learning lol I'm just gonna try setting it up according to the sketch, if I have problems I'll let you know. Thanks for hanging in there...

I planned on using my old one until you said I needed 2 pillow blocks, so I ordered 2 pillow blocks that way they are both the same since I will have to shim them in order for them to be horizontal will the back plates shaft slot. And I'm not sure what you mean in quote, using 2 sprockets or my...

    Torque converter pullys won't align

Ok I appreciate the helpful critisism indeed. So your saying my shaft should go through the 2 TC bearings, then through 1 pillow block bearing, and then through another pillow block bearing, is that correct? something like this?

Will the bearings in the backplate of the tav2 not act as a one set of bearings and are you referring to the free dangling shaft in between the backplate and the pillow block deflecting?

So does anyone see any problems with how this would work, or have any comments or concerns with this diagram of how I plan on reversing my sprocket setup. P.s I know not an artist P.p.s i also know my chain needs better alignment than in drawing haha P.p.p.s I will probably use wider...

Thanks I was wondering what those were called. I have something similar to those that came with the kart when I bought it brandnew 15 years ago. It has a 5/8 shaft with a sprocket welded to the shaft inserted through it. Thinking I could maybe just use it but but a 14" jackshaft to run through...
