    Advice on tools for fabrication

Well super hit the nail on the head! I guess for now I'm gonna go and grab the Evolution 10inch Rage3 miter saw. Its 400+ on the interwebs but I found one by chance today at Crappy tire for 200 bucks. There is no indicators of this item being on sale so I'm gonna scoop it up tonight. Then my...

    Advice on tools for fabrication

Princess Auto stuff usually seems to be better value than Crappy Tire stuff, at least for some things. I guess I'll go for this cheaper drill press then, at least for the time being! The pipe bender has some rave reviews from 4x4 guys, and seeing as I am building my kart for offloading and need...

Why aren't there pre-built frames for sale?

Here's a random aside. I learned how to weld before I could drive, but I really sucked at it until just recently. I weld with a Mastercraft (Canadian Tire brand) mig machine and it works pretty well. The only way to improve your welding skills is to just weld. Taking a course helps immensely but...

    Advice on tools for fabrication

Hey guys, I'm looking for three new tools to add to my workspace. First off, I'd like a tool to make cutting metal a bit easier. I use a grinder with a cutting wheel and it cuts like butter but leaves a lot of burrs and I obviously can't cut totally straight. I don't know what to look for but...

    Diesel Dune Buggy??

It would be awesome to have a diesel but IMO i guess its just too expensive. But yeah imagine a biodiesel hippie offroad kart!

    Diesel Dune Buggy??

I ve seen the small air cooled diesel motors on mini bikes but it is a rare sight. I'm pretty sure they can run a similar clutch to what you d have on a 6.5Horse. I see sometimes little Kubota motors but air cooled is a must for simplicity in my kart. I ll have to check that guy on youtube out...

    Diesel Dune Buggy??

haha I scooped up a 208 last week on sale. They're tried and true motors and dirt cheap. Never knew princess sold these! Oh well, maybe a dirt bike engine would be unique enough and cool

    Diesel Dune Buggy??

Hey folks, I'm very new to the go-kart world. I have dealt with Predator motors and built some clones for mini bikes but I would like to do something different with my first go-kart build. A diesel motor would be awesome. I found some options online but the diesel equivalent industrial grade...

    Ideas for my latest project!

sorry about that! I'll upload some pics. I do have most tools needed to fab up my frame and suspension. I am most likely going to start with a donor buggy and maybe an old ATV. For the motor, I'd love a Vanguard V-Twin but those are hard to come by. I just want good torque for climbing...

    Ideas for my latest project!

Hey guys, Super excited to get started on my offroad kart project. I work weekends but have 1 day off a week so I'm hoping that over the course of a few months I can put together a kart for the summer to thrash in the mud with. I'll link my Imgur where I have some pics of my current designs...

Hey guys, I am a university student who lives in Toronto Ontario. I'm studying Media Production at Ryerson and am specializing in audio engineering and music production. I love music but my second passion is mechanics. I drive a 1982 Celica during the summer. It's a solid rear axle, 5-speed...
