    Selling a kart .

i bought a kart from a guy once and he had messed with the governor arm trying to bypass the gov and the throttle ended up getting stuck wide open sailing me straight into a wall of my garage at a pretty good speed.. that being said i never tried to sue him or anything, but i would just say to...

I will look into it. For now, I'm just gonna work with the wet clutch and try to gear around the reduction

the lifan website says that it has a 3/4 output shaft but i may have an older model then the one they offer now. however, i can't imagine that they would have different output shaft sizes.. my 3/4 bore clutch is just ever so slightly too small ---------- Post added at 05:40 PM ----------...

well, i ordered a 3/4 bore clutch assuming (my first mistake) that the shaft on my lifan honda clone would be the same as the predator.. lo and behold it is not. the shaft on the lifan is just slightly larger than the 3/4 of the predator.. but it is just ever so slightly bigger.

okay! i'm really wanting to go with a 5:1 ratio so at the moment that'd mean i would need a 25 tooth sprocket so.. uh... 😅 something else has gotta change too

needing a lot of help/advice on this one

yeah i went ahead and ordered a #40 clutch and chain this morning. hoping they work well with my #428 sprocket but hey if they don't, that's just a sprocket i have to buy. my current sprocket is only 44 teeth though so i'm thinking i will need to size up a little seeing as the clutch has 10...

okay! so i got the info i needed! so the centrifugal clutch i have right now is a #41 and the sprocket on my axle is #428 could i buy a #41 chain and it would work with my 41 clutch AND my 428 sprocket??

needing a lot of help/advice on this one

okay so should i try and adjust my ratio factoring in the reduction or should i try and figure out a new chain setup with the clutch i currently have? the one i have is cheap so unless i'm sure or fitment, there's no use in using it as my platform

i'm just not sure if my clutch is a #40 or a #420 all i know is that it didn't work with my current 428 chain. i don't think it has any sort of markings but i can look again

i would need to find a gear with a 1inch bore and keyway that could give me about a 25:1 ratio..

needing a lot of help/advice on this one

if a #40 gear is the same as a 420 gear, I don't think it will work. I have a 420 centrifugal clutch and the spacing on the teeth didn't match up

yeah that might be easier. i'll check when i get home

needing a lot of help/advice on this one

would it be a bad idea to switch to a 420 chain rather than a 428? i'm really just looking for a temporary solution until i can afford to buy that honda clone shifter engine and have it shipped
